To My Readers:

This book is based on my life, growing up in Phoenix and it surrounding suburbs. These stories take place during the 1950’s and 1960’s. Phoenix was a great place to live during that time period. Free and easy would be the best scenario of those special years. The first story is about growing up in southwest Phoenix and attending a Roman Catholic Church and grade school that was run by the Blessed Virgin Mary, order of sisters. The church was in a low-income area and was run by Priests that at the time were part of the Diocese of Tucson. The second story is about my teenage years here in the Valley of the Sun in the middle 1960’s. The story takes place at our neighborhood which was located is Southwest Phoenix. This story takes place at our local drive in restaurants and Parks. The story also includes our favorite pastime which was cruising Central Avenue. The third story takes place at Phoenix College in the late 1960’s. The story is about a Junior College Fraternity with no national ties. These stories have some emotional points but in all you will be taken back to those great years here in Phoenix, Arizona. I hope you enjoy reading these stories as I did writing them.
